A new voting structure where votes don’t directly determine the winner, but instead determine the weights for a random draw after the election which actually decides the winner.

as stated in the summary, each vote is used as a probability weighting for a draw after the election to determine the winner. So, for example, in the latest presidential election, Biden got 51.1% of the national vote, Trump 47.2% and Jorgensen 1.2%. We put 511 Biden tickets in a raffle drum, 472 Trump tickets and 12 Jorgensen tickets. The next POTUS would then be winner of the raffle draw.

My thoughts are this destroys the idea of “strategic voting” no matter who you vote for, all you do is increase that person’s chances by 1/n of winning the raffle. It also solves the tyranny of the majority problem, because, while the majority would win more times than the minorities, they wouldn’t win every single time. The only flaw I can think of is that people would vote for themselves at a really high rate, so maybe there should be a threshold like at least 0.1% of the vote to qualify for a raffle ticket.
